A shopper lands on a jacket with 140 reviews. She reads three and still does not know if it runs small. An AI review summary answers that in a few lines. It reads the product’s reviews and lists what buyers liked and what they flagged.
Who this is for
Stores on a paid plan with products that have at least 5 approved reviews in Idukki. Reviews can come from your own store or from an import.
What you need
- A paid Idukki plan.
- Products with at least 5 approved, visible reviews that have text. Products with fewer are never summarised.
- A product-page widget, since that is where the summary shows.
Switch it on
- Open AI summaries. In the dashboard, open Reviews and choose the AI summaries tab.In the dashboard: Reviews, AI summaries tab: the Off, Preview and Live choice and the product list
- Choose Preview. Preview writes summaries you can read in the dashboard. Shoppers see nothing yet.
- Generate the summaries. Click Summarise all eligible products, or Generate on one product. A summary shows up to four positives and two common concerns.
- Read and fix. Read each one. Click Regenerate for a fresh version, or Hide to keep one off the product page.
- Choose Live. Live puts every summary you have not hidden on product-page widgets. Each is labelled as AI-generated.
How to check it worked
| Check | What you should see |
|---|---|
| Product list | Rows marked “Live on widget”. Products under 5 reviews say how many they need. |
| A product page | A “What customers say” block in the product-page widget. |
| The label | The block says it is an AI summary and how many reviews it read. |
| A hidden product | No summary on that page, while the row says Hidden. |
Summaries refresh each week for products whose reviews changed. Regenerate has a 10-minute cooldown per product.
