They come back. The gallery remembers what they looked at.
Idukki re-orders your UGC gallery for each shopper, using the products they recently viewed or wishlisted and, if you turn it on, the interests they pick. No login wall. The signals stay in the shopper’s browser.
- Viewed + wishlisted products
- Works for anonymous visitors
- Boosts, never filters
Personalised feed for
A returning shopper
Less hunting. More of what they wanted.
Picks up where they left off
A shopper who looked at a jacket last week sees customer posts featuring that jacket nearer the top next time.
Their saves count
Wishlisted products lift the posts they are tagged in, so the feed reflects what the shopper said they want.
Optional, and in their control
The interest picker is opt-in for you and for them. Shoppers can reset it at any time.
Your gallery, in a better order.
Same UGC, better order
The library you already collected is re-ordered per shopper. You do not need more content to make the gallery more relevant.
Boosts, never hides
Personalisation is a soft boost on top of your normal order. Nothing a shopper would otherwise see is filtered out.
No login needed
It works for anonymous visitors, because the signals live in the shopper’s own browser.
What the ranking actually uses.
Nothing else. No view-time tracking, no fingerprinting, no precise location.
Recently viewed products
Each product page the shopper visits with a widget on it is remembered, most recent first, up to 50 products.
Wishlisted products
Products the shopper saved with the widget’s heart. An explicit save is a stronger signal, so it does not decay.
Chosen interests
If you turn on the interest picker, the shopper can pick topics from your labels or categories. Posts with those labels move up.
A decay window you set
Viewed products older than your retargeting window (30 days by default) are cleared, so an old visit stops steering the feed.
Four steps. No model to train.
- Step 1
Remember
The widget keeps the shopper’s recently viewed products, wishlist saves and any chosen interests in their browser, per store.
- Step 2
Send
On an embed with retargeting on (data-retarget), the next gallery request carries those product ids and interests.
- Step 3
Re-rank
Posts tagged with those products, or labelled with those interests, get a boost in the ordering. Everything else keeps its place below.
- Step 4
Forget
Viewed products expire after your decay window. Shoppers can reset their interests from the picker.
Personalisation without surveillance.
The signals are product ids and interest names kept in the shopper’s own browser, per store. They travel with the gallery request so the ranking can use them. No third-party cookie is involved.
- No personally identifiable data required
- Retargeting is off unless the embed turns it on

FAQ
How the personalized feed actually works.
Do shoppers need to log in or fill out a quiz?+
No. Recently viewed and wishlisted products work for anonymous visitors. The interest picker is optional: you decide whether to show it, and shoppers decide whether to use it.
Where is the data kept?+
In the shopper’s own browser (local storage), per store. The product ids and interests are sent along with the gallery request so the ranking can use them. If the browser blocks storage, the gallery simply shows its normal order.
Does it follow a shopper across devices?+
No. The signals live in one browser on one device. A shopper on a new phone starts with your normal gallery order.
How do I turn it on?+
Retargeting by viewed and wishlisted products is switched on per embed with the data-retarget attribute. The interest picker is a setting on the Grid and Masonry layouts, where you choose labels or categories as the vocabulary and the maximum number of picks.
Will it hide posts?+
No. It is a boost, not a filter. Matching posts move up; nothing else is removed. Your top-performing layouts keep their own ranking.
How long is a viewed product remembered?+
For your retargeting window, set in the layout’s product settings. The default is 30 days. After that the viewed-product list is cleared. Wishlist saves do not expire.
Is there a machine-learning model behind it?+
No. The ranking is a transparent boost for posts that match the shopper’s viewed products, wishlist and chosen interests. That keeps it predictable and easy to explain.
The one-size-fits-all era is over.
Your gallery should fit them. Tell us your platform and we’ll help you switch on retargeting and the interest picker on your own galleries.
