How we measure

Every number we report, in plain words.

What each metric in your Idukki dashboard means, with an example. Your plan counts one thing: impressions.

What your plan counts

Plans are priced on impressions. Nothing else is metered.

See plans and allowances
Impressions
One impression is one page view where your galleries loaded. Two galleries on the same page still count as one. Scrolling, swiping and clicking add nothing. Bots and crawlers are left out.Example. A shopper opens a product page with a photo grid and a video strip: 1 impression. They reload the page: 2. They open your homepage gallery: 3.Before 15 October 2026 each gallery on a page counted on its own. We recounted past months the new way.
Monthly allowance
Your plan includes a number of impressions per calendar month. The meter on your dashboard shows how many you have used. It resets on the 1st (UTC).Example. Your plan includes 10,000 a month. By the 20th you have served 8,000. The meter shows 80%.
Going over
Your galleries keep showing. They are never switched off for going over. From 80% your dashboard shows a banner with the options.Example. A sale doubles your traffic and you reach 120%. Every gallery stays live, and the banner tells you.
Visitors
Visitors are reported, never billed. Your plan only counts impressions.

Reach

Who saw your UGC and who did something with it.

Visitors
Unique people who saw at least one of your galleries in the dates you picked. Each person counts once, however many galleries, pages or days.Example. Priya visits on Monday and Thursday and sees two galleries each time. She is 1 visitor for the week.Shopify’s Sessions counts every visit to your store, with or without a gallery. So your visitors should sit below your Shopify sessions.
Clicks
Interactions with your UGC: opening a post, clicking a product, swiping, playing a video.
Engaged visitors
Unique people who interacted with your UGC at least once in the period. This is the bottom of the conversion rate.Example. 1,000 people saw a gallery. 150 of them opened a post or played a video. You had 150 engaged visitors.Labelled "approx." if a period can only be counted day by day.

Rates

Three rates, worked out the same way on every page.

Click rateclicks ÷ impressions
How often a page view with your galleries earns an interaction.Example. 500 clicks from 10,000 impressions is a 5% click rate.
Add-to-cart rateadd-to-carts ÷ clicks
How often an interaction leads to a product added to the cart from the gallery.Example. 20 add-to-carts from 500 clicks is 4%.
Conversion rateproven orders ÷ engaged visitors
Of the people who engaged with your UGC, how many bought through it. Compare it with your store’s own conversion rate.Example. 6 proven orders from 150 engaged visitors is a 4% conversion rate.

Orders and revenue

Kept apart and never added together. You can see what Idukki proved and what it did not.

Proven orders
The shopper added a product to the cart from your gallery. They bought it within 30 days. This is the strictest measure.Example. Sam taps the sandals in a customer video, adds them to the cart and checks out. That order is proven.
Assisted orders
The shopper saw or clicked your UGC in the 30 days before buying. They did not add to the cart from the gallery. Each order counts once, at its strongest tier.Example. Clicked: Sam clicked a post showing the sandals and later bought them. Content: Sam clicked into the gallery and bought a hat. Viewed: Sam saw the sandals in a gallery, never clicked, and bought them.Assisted orders are sorted once a day is finished. Today’s appear tomorrow.
Influenced orders
Proven orders plus assisted orders, each order counted once. We use it to work out what is left unattributed.Example. 2 proven and 70 assisted orders make 72 influenced orders.
Store orders seen
Every order your store reported to Idukki, whether or not UGC played a part.Example. Your store took 90 orders this month. Store orders seen is 90.
Not attributed
Store orders seen minus proven and assisted orders. These are the orders Idukki could not tie to your UGC. We show them so the other numbers stay honest.Example. 90 store orders, 2 proven, 70 assisted: 18 not attributed.
Influenced shareinfluenced revenue ÷ store revenue seen
How much of the revenue Idukki saw it can tie to your UGC. Blank, not 0, when no store revenue was seen.Example. ₹200,000 influenced out of ₹260,000 seen is a 77% influenced share.
Influenced cart value
The value of products added to carts from your galleries. It is intent, not revenue, and never added to revenue.Example. Shoppers add three ₹1,500 dresses to their carts from a gallery. Influenced cart value is ₹4,500, whether or not they buy.

Why our numbers differ from Shopify

Shopify and your dashboard count different things. These are the usual gaps.

Sessions and visitors
A Shopify session is one visit to your store. Our visitors are people who saw a gallery. Pages without a gallery, and repeat visits, raise sessions only.Example. Shopify shows 10,000 sessions. Your dashboard shows 8,000 visitors. That gap is normal.
Order totals
We record each order’s total when it is placed. Shopify’s Total sales also takes off returns and later edits.Example. We show ₹100,000 for 40 orders. One ₹2,000 order is refunded. Shopify now shows ₹98,000 and we still show ₹100,000.
Dates
Your dashboard days run midnight to midnight UTC. Shopify uses your store’s time zone. An order near midnight can land on a different day.
Checkout apps
Some stores use a third-party checkout. Neither Shopify’s nor our checkout tracking can see it. Orders still arrive, but proven orders can read 0. Shopify’s conversion rate drops too.

Comparisons

Two groups of shoppers side by side. Each comparison has its own name.

Engaged shoppers vs the rest(proven orders ÷ engaged visits) ÷ (view-only orders ÷ visits without engaging)
A visit is one shopper on one day. Engaged visits are each day’s shoppers who interacted with your gallery. The other visits are each day’s gallery visitors minus those. View-only orders: the shopper saw a product in the gallery, never interacted, and bought it.Both groups are counted day by day in visits. So this is not the conversion rate above. Days when several galleries had visitors are left out, since a shopper could count twice. The number shows only when a two-proportion test calls the gap significant. Each group also needs 30 orders. It shows a link between engaging and buying. Keen shoppers often engage more, so it can’t show cause. Only an A/B test measures cause.

Blank, 0 and the captions

A number is blank when Idukki cannot measure it for your account. It is 0 only when it measured and nothing happened.

Not measured
For revenue and orders: no checkout tracking or orders feed has reached us yet. For reach: no gallery exists yet. Connect the integration and the tile fills in.
History and today
Finished days come from daily totals. Today is counted live, so it can move during the day.
Domain filters
Reach follows your domain filters. Sales totals do not. When a filter is on, the dashboard says so. It also skips today’s live count, so the two never quietly disagree.
