Importing a post is not permission to use it. A post goes live only once its rights status is granted. This guide covers the whole flow, from the first ask to the evidence you export later.
From imported post to cleared content
- Find the post. Collect posts that tag or mention you, or use your hashtags. Each one starts with no rights.
- Pick how to ask. Open the post’s three-dot menu, then Rights Management. Choose Via Response, Via Registration or Manual Approval.
- Copy the message. Idukki fills in the creator’s handle, your approval hashtag and your terms link. Click Copy Message.
- Send it. On YouTube, Idukki posts the comment from your connected channel. On Instagram, paste it as a comment or DM from your account. The creator sees your brand.
- Mark it pending. Switch on Mark as pending. The post reads Rights Pending until the creator answers.
- Let Idukki track it. Idukki picks up the creator’s answer, updates the status and logs each step.
The four modes
- Via Response: a comment on the post carries your approval hashtag. Idukki posts it on YouTube. On Instagram you paste it. The creator replies with the hashtag. Idukki checks replies once a day and marks the post granted.
- Via Registration: you send the creator a consent link by DM or email. The link is signed and lasts 30 days. The creator reads your terms on the consent page, adds their details and grants rights.
- Manual Approval: for content you cleared another way, such as a creator contract. Mark it approved and attach the agreement.
- Revoke Rights: withdraws a grant. Hide the post as well, so it drops off your live widgets.
Where the content can be used
Each grant records its usage scope. Website and widgets is always included. Amazon organic content (A+, Brand Store, Posts) and paid ads are separate options. Ask for paid use only when you plan to run ads.
What every grant records
- Who asked, and when.
- The exact consent wording shown, with its version.
- The creator’s answer and the time they gave it.
- For consent-page grants, the IP address and device.
- The link used and the scope granted.
- Every later change: approvals, revokes and notes.

Export the evidence
Export a signed evidence record for one post, or a batch as CSV or PDF. Each record carries a SHA-256 fingerprint and an Idukki signature. If the record changes after export, the check shows it no longer matches.
Expiry and revoking
Set one rights term for your account: 30, 60, 90, 180 or 365 days, or your own number. Collections with the rights gate on drop a post when its term ends. If a creator asks you to stop, revoke the grant and hide the post.
Content shoppers send you directly
Photos and videos sent through your upload widget carry a consent notice. You can make it a required checkbox and write your own wording.

- Does Idukki send the request for me?
- On YouTube, yes: Idukki comments from your connected channel. On Instagram, no: your team pastes the message Idukki writes. Idukki tracks the answer on both.
- Which mode should I use?
- Via Response for public posts where a comment is natural. Via Registration when you can DM or email the creator, or for campaigns. Manual Approval when you already hold the rights.
- What if the creator never answers?
- The post stays pending and never goes live. Re-send the message, or try a consent link instead.
