Most catalogues have products with no customer photos or videos yet, so their product pages show only the packshot. AI Studio makes media from the product’s own photo: a styled scene, the product on a model, or a short video. A catalogue run does that for up to 50 products in one go, using the same scene for each so the set looks consistent.
Start a catalogue run
- Open AI Studio. In the dashboard sidebar, open AI Studio under Content, then choose Catalogue run.In the dashboard: AI Studio with the Catalogue run tool selected
- Pick the products. The list opens on “No customer posts”, the products whose pages need media most. Switch to “Has customer posts” or “All products”, or search by name. Tick up to 50 products, or as many as your allowance has left this month.
- Choose images or videos. A run makes one kind of media. Pick Images or Videos at the top of the form.
- Describe the scene. Write the setting and styling around each product, or start from a suggested prompt. The same scene is used for every product, with each product’s own photo. Add a model if you want the product worn or held, and choose 1:1 Square or 9:16 Portrait.
- Add sound (videos, where available). For a video run you can ask for a voiceover or a music track; one music track is shared by every video in the run. This is switching on with early access, so skip this step if you do not see it.
- Start the run. Press Start run. The run appears under Runs with its progress, for example “12 of 40 done · 1 failed”. You can leave the page; the run keeps going. In the dashboard: Runs list showing a catalogue run in progress
- Review and publish. Open the run to see each result as it finishes. Select the ones you want, choose a collection and press Add to collection. Each piece is added to that collection already tagged to its product, so it shows on that product’s page wherever the collection’s widget is embedded.
Start from the Products page
On Products, the row menu has Generate media for one product. Tick several rows and use Generate media for selected to open a catalogue run with those products already picked.
Common questions
- What happens when I run out of allowance?
- You can only pick as many products as you have generations (or credits) left, and AI Studio says so when the month’s allowance is used. It resets at the start of each calendar month. Where credits are switched on, generations carry on from your credit balance; otherwise talk to us if you need more.
- One product did not generate. Do I lose that credit?
- No. A failed item is marked “This one did not generate”, it is not counted against your allowance or credits, and the rest of the run carries on. Check that the product has a clear main photo, then try it again on its own.
- Can I edit a result before publishing?
- Nothing is published until you add it to a collection. Leave out any result you do not like, or run that product again with a different scene.
- I see “Rolling out soon”.
- Catalogue runs are being switched on account by account. Single-product generation in AI Studio works in the meantime.
