The product page hub is a layout built for the space under the buy box. Instead of separate embeds for reviews, customer photos and questions, one embed shows them in order, all for the product on the page.
What the hub shows
| Section | What shoppers see |
|---|---|
| Rating summary | The average rating, the count it is based on, and a bar per star. Tapping a bar filters the reviews to that rating. |
| AI review summary | “What customers say”, when the product has a summary. See AI review summaries for how they are made. |
| Customer photos and videos | A swipeable strip of the posts with a photo or video. Each opens in the usual post view. |
| Reviews | The reviews list, sorted by Newest, Highest rated or Lowest rated, filtered to reviews With photos or to one star rating, five at a time with Show more reviews. |
| Questions and answers | Product Q&A inline, when Q&A is switched on for your store. |
Any section can be switched off for a collection, and the number of reviews shown per page can be changed. The rating summary uses your store’s rating totals when Idukki has them; otherwise it is worked out from the rated posts the widget has loaded, and says how many that is.
Put it on your product template
- Use a collection for reviews and customer posts. Pick the collection that holds your reviews and tagged customer posts, and have the hub layout switched on for it.
- Embed it with the product id. Add the embed to your product template with filter-pid set to the product, exactly like any product-page widget (see Embed the widget and go live). Only posts tagged with that product show.
- Check a product with posts and one without. Open a product that has reviews to see the hub, then one with none to see the fallback below.
A product page with no posts of its own
A widget filtered to a product with nothing tagged used to show nothing. Now, on the first page of results, it shows up to 12 posts from the first of these sources that has any, under a small label so shoppers know what they are looking at:
| Source, in order | Label shoppers see |
|---|---|
| AI Studio media made for this product and published | More of this product |
| Posts tagged to the most similar products in your catalogue | Similar products |
| Posts tagged to products in the same category | More like this |
| The collection’s own posts | More from this store |
- Only live posts that are approved and cleared for use are offered: your own content, posts you approved, posts with an unexpired rights grant, or posts from creators you allow-listed.
- Fallback posts keep their own product tags, so their shop buttons point at the products they show.
- Turn the fallback off for a collection if you would rather the space stays empty.
Presets for the product page
- Customer photos strip: a filmstrip or grid filtered to the product and to photos only (or videos only).
- Sticky video bubble: the mini frame layout starts as a small floating video that opens on tap.
- Before and after: on a product with saved before-and-after pairs, show only that comparison.
- Q&A launcher: product Q&A opens from the floating button dock instead of the chip row under the buy box.
Search engines and keyboards
- On a product page, the product’s own reviews are added to the page as structured data (Product with Review entries), and videos as VideoObject entries, on every layout. Reviews imported from Google, Trustpilot or TripAdvisor and fallback posts are never marked up, and no aggregate rating is added.
- If your theme already marks the product up with reviews or a rating, the widget adds no review markup of its own, and it leaves out videos the page already describes.
- Everything clickable in the widget can be reached with Tab and opened with Enter or Space.
Common questions
- Will the hub slow my product page?
- It loads through the same script as every Idukki widget, and the Q&A and AI summary parts are separate pieces loaded on demand rather than part of the first download.
- The AI review summary is missing on most products.
- A product needs at least five eligible reviews before it gets a summary. An action that queues every eligible product at once is rolling out; summaries are then written one product at a time.
