The best AI visibility tools for reviews and UGC in 2026: six options compared

Videowise, Bazaarvoice, Whatmore, Yotpo Discover, Okendo and Idukki compared. What each makes readable to AI engines, what it measures and what it costs. We make Idukki.

A shopper asks ChatGPT for the best walking boot under $150. The answer names three brands and cites a few pages. Your boot has 400 reviews. None of them made it into the answer. Six vendors now sell a fix for that, and they fix different things.

The phrase covers two different jobs. One is making your reviews, photos and videos readable by a machine. The other is checking whether ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity actually cite them. Some tools do both. Most do one.

Readable means structured data on the page and feeds an engine can fetch. It also means tools an agent can call. Measurement means running real prompts and counting where your brand appears. A tool that only measures tells you about a gap. A tool that only structures cannot tell you if it worked.

How we compared them

  • Structured review and UGC data. Does it turn reviews, photos or video into markup a crawler reads?
  • Machine-readable feeds. A file or endpoint an engine or agent can fetch without running JavaScript.
  • MCP or agent access. Can an AI assistant query the data through the Model Context Protocol?
  • Citation measurement. Does it run prompts and report where you appear?
  • Platform reach. Which store platforms it names.
  • Pricing transparency. Is there a public price for the feature?

We read each vendor's own page or press release on 13 October 2026. Where a page did not say, the table says "Not stated". We make Idukki, and it gets the same criteria.

Yotpo Discover: measurement with agents attached

Yotpo Discover runs structured prompts across AI engines and scores the answers. It tracks products by category and region, and names competitors that appear ahead of you. Its page lists ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and on-site assistants.

Three agents act on the findings. The Onsite Agent works on site readiness. The Content Agent drafts content. The Activation Agent asks real reviewers and loyalty members to post on forums and marketplaces. A Discover MCP connects the workflow to Claude.

Best for: a large brand that wants tracking and fixes in one contract. Limits: the initial release is for brands with $10M+ in annual GMV. Smaller brands join a waitlist. We read the Activation Agent closely in our piece on Yotpo Discover.

Bazaarvoice: reviews served to crawlers, measured by partners

Bazaarvoice launched its AI Visibility package on 1 September 2026. It turns ratings, reviews and gallery images into structured data. The press release says most review widgets render in JavaScript, which many AI crawlers skip.

Bazaarvoice does not measure citations itself. It partners with Bluefish, Evertune and Profound for that. It says enabled clients saw a median 40% rise in AI-driven referral traffic. Implementation is expert-guided.

Best for: an enterprise brand already syndicating reviews through Bazaarvoice. Limits: no public price, and measurement is a second vendor. See Idukki vs Bazaarvoice.

Videowise: video turned into pages AI can read

Videowise's starting point is that AI cannot watch a video. It pulls videos from Instagram, TikTok, Meta ads and its own library. It transcribes them into Q&As, wiki pages and video quotes tagged with schema. Those publish on your store as a UGC Wiki.

It also makes long-form YouTube videos with metadata for AI engines. Each video gets an AI readability score. Social listening lets you cite positive videos you do not own, with links to the creator.

Best for: a Shopify brand sitting on a large video library. Limits: it is exclusively for Shopify. The tour page shows no price and describes no citation tracking. See Idukki vs Videowise.

Whatmore: AI Discovery inside a shoppable video app

Whatmore's Q3 2026 edition added AI Discovery. Product videos can be cited in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Setup is one-time and shoppers do not see it. You control it per product.

The same edition syncs tagged videos into Meta's product catalog. It also puts shoppable video in Klaviyo emails.

Best for: a Shopify store already using Whatmore for video. Limits: the edition page does not say how citations are measured or which plan includes it. See Idukki vs Whatmore.

Okendo: reviews in your AI assistant

Okendo's MCP server connects published reviews to ChatGPT and Claude. It has three tools: reviews_aggregate, reviews_search and questions_list. It returns only storefront-visible reviews and Q&A. It needs the Okendo Reviews Growth plan.

This is a merchant tool. Okendo's own FAQ says shoppers cannot use it on your store. Developers can build it into shopper-facing bots.

Best for: an Okendo merchant who wants to query reviews in Claude. Limits: no citation tracking, and no order or store data. See Idukki vs Okendo.

Idukki: feeds and MCP for reviews and UGC (ours)

We make Idukki. Each store gets a public agent feed. It serves products with rights-cleared UGC, reviews and the aggregate rating. It comes as JSON, as schema.org JSON-LD and as an llms.txt file. A read-only MCP endpoint serves the same data to shopping agents. Our agentic commerce page lists that public side as beta.

On Shopify, product pages get Product, Review and AggregateRating JSON-LD. An opt-in Google product reviews feed sends first-party reviews to Merchant Center. A private MCP server lets your own assistant read posts, products and analytics.

Best for: a store that wants its reviews and UGC machine-readable on any of six platforms. Limits: Idukki does not run prompts or track citations. Pair it with a measurement tool if you need that number.

How to choose an AI visibility tool

  1. 1Check the basics for free. Our AI visibility check grades one product page on nine signals.
  2. 2Decide if you need a number. Citation tracking costs money. Fix crawler access and schema before you pay to measure.
  3. 3Ask where the data renders. Reviews loaded by JavaScript may never reach a crawler. Ask for the raw HTML.
  4. 4Ask what an agent can call. A feed or MCP endpoint lets an agent query reviews without scraping.
  5. 5Check your platform. Two tools here name Shopify only.
  6. 6Price the whole plan. Three vendors here publish no price for the feature.

For the file itself, read our llms.txt guide. For MCP access side by side, read review and UGC apps with MCP servers. For the wider method, see the AEO playbook.

Choosing a whole UGC platform with this in mind? Use our eight-question checklist.

Questions brands ask

  • What is an AI visibility tool for ecommerce?

Software that makes your reviews readable by AI engines. Some tools also measure how often engines cite you.

  • Which AI visibility tools track citations in ChatGPT?

Yotpo Discover runs prompts and scores answers. Bazaarvoice offers tracking through Bluefish, Evertune and Profound.

  • Does Okendo have an MCP server?

Yes. It has three tools for reviews and Q&A, and it needs the Okendo Reviews Growth plan.

  • Does Idukki track AI citations?

No. Idukki makes reviews and UGC readable through JSON-LD, feeds and MCP. It does not run prompts.

  • Why can AI crawlers miss my reviews?

Many review widgets render in JavaScript. Bazaarvoice says most AI crawlers skim past that format.
