Best shoppable video apps for Shopify in 2026: four we checked line by line
Idukki, Videowise, Storista and Whatmore compared as shoppable video apps for Shopify: formats, add-to-cart in the player, page weight, pricing shape, AI studio and TikTok Shop. Idukki is ours; the criteria are stated.
The first shoppable video app a Shopify brand installs is usually chosen from a demo reel. The second one is chosen from an invoice, or a PageSpeed report, or the discovery that the app only does video when the best customer content is photos. This list is for the second choice: four apps we have checked line by line, the criteria we used, and where each one is the right answer.
In this article
A shoppable video app has one job: let a shopper who is watching a real person use a product buy that product without leaving the video. Every app on this list does that. The differences are in what surrounds it: how many formats, what the page pays in weight, what the bill counts, and what happens when your best content is not a video at all. We make Idukki, and it is on this list. Read the criteria before the verdicts.
The criteria
- Formats. Carousels and stories are standard; hotspot images, hub pages and pop-ups are not.
- Buying inside the player. Tagged products with an add-to-cart that does not open a new page.
- Page weight. What the vendor publishes about script size and loading, treated as a claim unless you measure it.
- Pricing shape. What the meter counts (views, widgets or impressions) and what a good month costs.
- AI. Auto-tagging, clipping and generated video, and whether it is priced separately.
- Distribution. TikTok Shop, email and live shopping.
- Beyond video. Photos, reviews and rights, if you want them in the same tool.

Videowise: best when video depth is the whole brief
Nobody on this list has more video features. Videowise imports from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox and Meta Ads, lets you A/B test its widgets, pushes video to TikTok Shop in bulk, sends it into Klaviyo email and runs multi-host live shopping. Its AI clips tool slices long videos into hooks and testimonials. It publishes a claim of 97% video compression with no Core Web Vitals impact, which is worth checking on your own theme before you rely on it.
The meter is the thing to model. Published tiers were $99, $249 and $449 a month, sized by roughly 30,000, 150,000 and 300,000 views, with live shopping and AI tools as add-ons. A month where a clip performs is a month the tier matters. Our longer comparison is Idukki vs Videowise vs Storista.
Storista: best on a small budget, or for TikTok Shop
Storista prices by widget count instead of views (free, then $16, $39 and $199 a month), holds the Built for Shopify badge and publishes content to TikTok Shop. Its AI studio generates images, short video and talking-actor clips on credits, and it generates structured data for video automatically. Five formats cover the placements most stores use.
It is Shopify only, and it does not do photo galleries, reviews or rights. As a video layer on a Shopify store it is hard to beat on price; as a UGC programme it is one piece.
Whatmore: best for AI-matched video on Shopify
Whatmore matches products to videos with AI and sells a separate studio for generated video on credits. It carries a 5.0-star Shopify listing. It is video only and Shopify first, and its plans are metered with a free entry tier; check the live pricing page for current tiers.
Idukki: best when video is one format among several (ours)
Our pitch is that the video is rarely the only proof a shopper needs. Idukki puts shoppable video, customer photos and imported reviews (Google, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, Judge.me) in the same library, tags products with a vision model that auto-applies confident matches and queues the rest for a person, and records rights per post. The runtime is 37 KB, and video preloads only for the slides on screen. Shoppable video starts on the $45 plan (10,000 impressions a month).
What we do not do: publish to TikTok Shop, or run live shopping as a headline product. If those are central, Videowise or Storista fits better.
