Judge.me vs Loox vs Okendo in 2026: which Shopify review app fits your store

Judge.me, Loox and Okendo compared on pricing, free plans, photo and video reviews, imports and syndication. Also Q&A, AI and the wider suite. Every fact is from the vendor's own pages, checked 11 October 2026.

Almost every Shopify store ends up choosing between the same three review apps. Judge.me has the famous free plan. Loox has the polished photo galleries. Okendo is where bigger brands tend to go. All three collect photo and video reviews and send them to Google. So the real differences are the bill, the paywall and what else comes in the box. We make none of them. This piece lines them up on those points.

We used twelve criteria a store owner actually decides on. Free plan, what the bill counts, and photo and video reviews. Review requests, incentives, imports and exports. Google Shopping, the Shop app, Meta and TikTok Shop. Then Q&A, AI and what else comes in the box. Every fact comes from the vendor's pricing page, help centre or Shopify listing. We checked them all on 11 October 2026. We left out anything we could not confirm from the vendor. Okendo's full price table was not confirmable, so we use only its published starting price.

Pricing: what the bill counts

This is the biggest difference between the three. Judge.me's paid plan, Awesome, costs a flat $15 a month. Order volume does not change it. It has a 15-day trial, once per store, and the free plan has no time limit. Loox's free Beginner plan lasts until the store has taken 500 orders in total. Its Convert plan starts at $49.99 a month for 300 orders. Each further 300 orders adds $50, up to a cap. An Unlimited plan sits above that. Okendo prices each product by monthly order bands. Its pricing page lists reviews from $19 a month. Past your band, you upgrade or buy one-off top-up credits. Bundles of several products usually need an annual term.

A store with a few hundred orders a month pays very different amounts for similar features. Model the bill at your busiest month before you choose.

Collecting photo and video reviews

All three collect photo and video reviews and can offer a discount for them. The gates differ. Judge.me collects both on the free plan. It can also send a separate reminder asking for media. Loox collects photos on every plan and video only from Convert. Okendo collects both and transcribes video reviews with AI. Judge.me sends requests by email, SMS, push and QR code. Loox and Okendo send email themselves and hand SMS to partners. For Loox that is Omnisend. For Okendo it is Klaviyo, Attentive or Postscript.

Incentive rules apply whichever app you pick. Offer the same reward whatever the star rating. Say in the review that it was incentivised. The rules are in Incentivising reviews without breaking policy.

Imports and switching

Each app imports from the other two, so switching is realistic. Judge.me imports from Yotpo, Loox, Okendo, Etsy, Amazon and AliExpress. It also takes large CSV files. Imported reviews are never marked verified. CSV imports are published even if you moderate by hand, so clean the file first. Loox imports text and photos by CSV. For video, you contact its support. Okendo detects exports from Yotpo, Stamped, Loox and Judge.me. All three let you export your reviews. Confirm that before you sign anything.

Google, Shop app, Meta and TikTok Shop

Stars in Google Shopping need a Merchant Center account. Judge.me and Loox also need at least 50 reviews. Judge.me offers it on Awesome and Loox on Convert. Okendo is a Google Reviews Partner. All three sync to the Shop app, Judge.me on its free plan. All three send verified reviews only to TikTok Shop, with country limits. Okendo does it from its Growth plan.

Q&A, AI and the rest of the box

Judge.me and Okendo include product Q&A. Loox offers custom questions on the review form instead. All three now write AI review summaries and suggest or draft replies. Okendo also runs an MCP server. It lets assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude query a store's public reviews. Okendo is a five-product suite: reviews, loyalty, referrals, quizzes and surveys. Loox adds referrals and a post-purchase upsell. Judge.me adds coupons and referrals. If you already run a loyalty app, Okendo's suite matters less.

Our reading of each vendor's own pages. We make none of the three.

Which one fits

  • A new or price-sensitive store: Judge.me. Photo and video reviews are free, and the paid plan stays flat.
  • A visual brand that wants the best-looking photo reviews: Loox. Video and syndication need the paid plan.
  • A growing brand that wants reviews, loyalty and referrals together: Okendo, priced on your orders.
  • A store that might leave Shopify: none of them. All three are Shopify-only, so plan the export.

Where Idukki fits (ours)

We make Idukki. It is a different kind of tool and replaces none of these. It takes the photo and video reviews you already collect. Judge.me is a built-in import, alongside Google, Trustpilot and TripAdvisor. It adds customer posts from Instagram, TikTok and other social sources. Then it shows them as shoppable galleries and video, with products tagged to the cart. Rights are recorded per post. It also runs on WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Magento. That matters now that all three review apps are Shopify-only. Our direct comparisons are on the Judge.me, Loox and Okendo pages.

Questions store owners ask

  • Is Judge.me better than Loox?

On price and breadth, usually. Judge.me includes photo and video reviews and Q&A free. Its paid plan is a flat $15 a month. Loox has polished galleries, referrals and a post-purchase upsell. Its video reviews and syndication need the paid Convert plan, billed by orders.

  • Is Okendo worth it over Judge.me?

Okendo is built for brands that want reviews, loyalty, referrals, quizzes and surveys from one vendor. If you only need reviews, Judge.me covers most of the same features for less.

  • Can I switch review apps without losing reviews?

Yes. Each of the three imports from the other two, and all three export. Imported reviews may lose their verified status. Check how the new app treats them.

  • Do Judge.me, Loox and Okendo work on WooCommerce or BigCommerce?

No. Judge.me sunset its other platforms between October 2025 and January 2026. Loox and Okendo are Shopify-only.
