The best Instagram feed apps for Shopify in 2026: eight apps, including ours

Instafeed, Covet, EmbedSocial, Elfsight, Taggbox, Foursixty, Flockler and Idukki. Free plans, what each bill counts and which ones make posts shoppable.

Meta shut down the Instagram Basic Display API on 4 December 2024. Every feed app had to move to Instagram's newer API. Some feeds broke on the way. Today's apps fall into two groups. Some show your own posts. Others show customer posts and tag products to the cart. We checked eight, including ours.

We chose apps that put Instagram posts on a Shopify store. Each one needed a live listing or a documented install. We checked four things: main job, billing, free plan and product tagging. Facts come from each vendor's own listing, pricing page or help centre. We did not score the apps. The order below follows the table and is not a ranking.

What changed in December 2024

Meta announced on 4 September 2024 that the Instagram Basic Display API would close. It shut on 4 December 2024. Feed apps moved to the Instagram API with Instagram Login. Business and creator accounts work with it. Sources disagree on personal accounts. If yours is personal, switch it to a free creator account first.

Two jobs, two kinds of app

A brand feed shows your own Instagram posts on the store. It fills a homepage band and keeps the site looking current. A shoppable UGC gallery shows posts by customers and creators, with products tagged. A shopper can go from the photo to the cart. Decide which job you have before you compare prices.

Instafeed: a free brand feed

Instafeed by Mintt Studio shows your posts and Reels. The free plan has unlimited views and no branding, and syncs hourly. It does not tag products. Paid plans add features and a 7-day trial. Many apps share the Instafeed name, from different developers. Check the developer on the listing before you install.

Elfsight: cheap, billed by views

Elfsight's Instagram Gallery shows feeds by account, hashtag or location. The free plan covers one widget and 200 views a month. Above that, the widget switches off until the next month. Paid plans step up by monthly views. Its listing and website quote slightly different prices.

EmbedSocial: feeds plus UGC

EmbedSocial collects Instagram feeds, mentions and hashtags into shoppable galleries. Its website lists a free plan with one source and 500 views a month. The Shopify listing starts at $29 a month. Stories, Reels, hashtag feeds and AI moderation are on paid plans.

Taggbox: feeds, video and reviews

Taggbox turns social feeds, video and reviews into galleries. Its listing shows a free plan with one feed and 500 views a month. Paid plans step up by views. The listing and website disagree on which features the free plan holds. Check the listing.

Covet: shoppable Instagram galleries

Covet builds shoppable galleries from Instagram posts and photo reviews. Its pricing page shows Lite at $9.99 a month for one gallery. Growth is $29.99 for five galleries, mentions and two hashtags. Premium is $79.99 and adds hotspot tagging. Products are shoppable on your store. Inside Instagram they are not. Every plan has a 14-day trial.

Foursixty: shoppable UGC for larger brands

Foursixty shows shoppable galleries from Instagram, TikTok and customer content. Its listing starts at $90 a month with a 14-day trial. It is now part of Okendo. The Okendo integration needs the Complete plan. We could not confirm whether it still takes new sign-ups, so ask first.

Flockler: no app, an embed code

Flockler has no Shopify App Store listing. You paste its embed code into a Custom Liquid section. Plans bill by number of feeds, with unlimited page views. Basic starts at $129 a month, or $110 billed yearly, for eight feeds. The trial lasts 14 days with no card.

Idukki: shoppable UGC and video (ours)

We make Idukki, so weigh this accordingly. It collects posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook and Pinterest. It imports reviews from Google, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor and Judge.me. It shows them as shoppable galleries, reels and stories, tagged to the cart. Rights are recorded per post. Plans bill by monthly widget impressions. The free plan covers image galleries up to 20,000 impressions and shows the Idukki logo. Shoppable video starts on the $45 plan.

What Shopify's own channel does

Shopify's Facebook & Instagram channel is free on every plan. It syncs your products to one Meta catalogue for Facebook Shop and Instagram Shopping. Changes sync within 15 minutes. It does not show an Instagram feed on your store. Use it for selling inside Instagram, alongside any app above.
