BFCM 2027: a 12-month plan that starts in January
Black Friday 2027 is 26 November. Plan the customer content your product pages need by then, month by month. Start with this year's unboxings.
It is Wednesday 2 December 2026. Cyber Monday ended two nights ago. The first unboxing posts are already tagging your brand. By March, most of them will be buried in feeds. Nobody will have asked for the rights.

| February | Pick hero products from 2026 BFCM sales | A written list with a coverage count per product | Effort goes to products nobody buys in November |

January: capture the 2026 holiday content
Your 2026 buyers start posting in late December. Unboxings, gift reveals and outfit photos tag your brand. This is the cheapest content you will get all year.
Send rights requests within days of each post. Buyers remember posting for a short time. Our rights request sequence covers the timing and wording.
Returns peak in January too. NRF and Happy Returns found retailers expected 17% of holiday sales to come back. So ask for photos after your return window closes. A buyer who kept the item makes a better witness.
February to June: cover your hero products
Open your 2026 BFCM sales report. List the products that sold most over Cyber Week. Add the ones you plan to discount in 2027. These are your hero products.
Count the cleared customer content on each one. Set your own minimum and write it down. One example: three photos, one video and five reviews per hero product. That number is our suggestion.
The spring gifting dates help here. Valentine's Day, Mothering Sunday, Mother's Day and Father's Day all bring fresh posts. The holiday ecommerce calendar lists each date and its prep window.
Clear rights as content arrives. A post with no rights cannot go on a product page in November. Idukki sends rights requests and logs each reply against the post.
July to September: build and test
July is for building. Choose a layout for each page type. Product pages, collection pages and your BFCM landing page need different shapes. Our guide to where to place shoppable video shows the options.
August is for testing. Run an A/B test on real traffic before November. Theater did this on its product pages with 30K+ visitors per arm. Real customer content lifted conversion by 20%. Read the Theater case study for the setup.
September is for speed. Adobe forecasts phones at 57.4% of 2026 holiday spend. Test every gallery page on a phone. Our Shopify speed check takes 20 minutes.
Check how AI assistants read your product pages too. Adobe forecasts AI-referred retail traffic up 130% in the 2026 season. Salesforce found AI search shoppers converted 9x more often than social referrals in 2025. The product page SEO checklist covers what they read.
October: deploy
List every page your BFCM ads and emails will point to. Put tagged customer content on each one. Then check each product link opens the right variant.
Set a change freeze for the week before Thanksgiving. Write down who can lift it. Check each carrier's published cutoffs, then put delivery dates on the page.
November: hold the line
NRF counted 75.9M online shoppers on Cyber Monday 2025. In 2024 it was 64.4M. Traffic like that finds every weak page.
Watch three things each morning of Cyber Week. Check the moderation queue, the rights queue and mobile page speed. Fix what breaks. Build nothing new.
December: capture again
Switch on post-purchase requests for gift buyers. Time each one for a few days after delivery. The posts that arrive now become January's work. The loop starts again.
Before you close the year, log three numbers. Note conversion on pages with and without proof, the posts collected, and the rights cleared. They set your 2028 targets.
Idukki collects posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, reviews and on-site uploads. It tags products, handles rights and publishes shoppable video and galleries. We make Idukki. The BFCM 2027 planning playbook turns this plan into a workbook.
