Inside the playbook
In this article
It is 20 November 2027. The ads team asks for "a few real customer videos" for the Black Friday page. You have six days. The creators you ask reply next week. The page goes live with studio photos again.
This playbook moves that request to March. It is a calendar, one month at a time. It rests on one fact: content takes months, traffic takes days.

January and February: harvest the holiday
December buyers are your best source of content. Many bought gifts. The recipients open them on camera. Send a request after delivery. Purchase day is too early. Put a QR code in the box that opens an upload page. Thank people who post with your hashtag, then ask for rights.
Rights come first. A post you cannot reuse is a post you cannot sell with. Idukki's rights management sends the request to the creator.
March to June: cover the hero products
Pick a coverage target for each hero product. A simple one: at least eight customer photos and two short videos, all cleared. Count what each page has. The gap is your spring work list.
The spring loop
- 01
Count
Cleared photos and videos per hero product.
- 02
Ask
Post-purchase requests and creator seeding for the thin ones.
- 03
Approve
Moderate and tag each post to its product.
- 04
Clear
Request rights on every post you might reuse.
- 05
Place
Put the new content live on the product page.
July to September: build and test
Summer traffic is calm, so test now. Try a gallery beside the buy button against one lower down. Try a short video above the reviews. Measure on phones. Keep the winner. Check speed with the content live. An empty test page tells you nothing.
By the end of September every hero product should meet its target. Anything still thin gets a last push. Anything still uncleared stays off paid ads.
October to December: deploy, hold, collect
Deploy in October so the store runs for weeks before the peak. Fix what breaks while traffic is normal. From 12 November, add no new scripts. During the weekend the team approves new posts once a day and watches speed. In December, start the requests that feed January. The loop closes.
The season-by-season detail for this year is in the Holiday Playbook 2026 and the BFCM 2027 planning guide.
