Idukki vs REVIEWS.io
REVIEWS.io is a reviews-first platform (owned by AppHub, now Clearer.io, since 2022) that has built out a real UGC product: a UGC manager, Instagram rights requests, shoppable galleries and a TikTok Shop integration. The catch is packaging: shoppable UGC galleries gate to the $499/mo Plus plan, and even Google Seller Ratings + Klaviyo sit on $99+. Idukki was built UGC-first, with a 37 KB runtime, per-vertical playbooks, and shoppable galleries on every plan.

Where Idukki is the better fit
- UGC-first runtime (37 KB widget, CLS 0.001, INP <200ms) vs a reviews-rooted data model with UGC built on top
- Shoppable UGC galleries on every plan; REVIEWS.io gates them to the $499/mo Plus tier
- 16 industry-specific UGC playbooks shipped (wellness, F+B, auto, edtech, hospitality, travel, all the rest), vs one-size positioning
- Honest compliance posture surfaced: SOC 2 in audit Q3 2026, AWS eu-west-2 data residency, blocked-claim filter on submission, BAA on Enterprise
- Per-vertical UGC moderation lanes (women's wellness, sexual wellness, alcohol, K-12) instead of generic brand-safety
- Verified-buyer tenure filter on review walls: surface the 60-day-in cohort that actually moves conversion, not the day-3 honeymoon reviews
Questions buyers ask in the room
The same questions, every time we’re in a side-by-side with REVIEWS.io. Answers as we’d give them.
We already use REVIEWS.io for reviews. Why move to Idukki?+
You probably do not need to move your reviews collection. The UGC side is the question. If your priority is the next year of UGC + shoppable video performance (PDP conversion, Core Web Vitals, per-vertical compliance, attribution), the Idukki runtime was built UGC-first. We can run alongside your reviews tool, or replace it entirely if the consolidation maths works. We will tell you which.
What does "UGC-first runtime" actually mean in practice?+
Our widget is 37 KB gzipped, lab CLS 0.001, p95 INP under 200ms. Those numbers come from a runtime that was architected for shoppable UGC from day one, not a review-display widget that got extended to render galleries. The receipts are published per release.
How do we handle migration?+
Same-day adapter. We import your verified-buyer reviews, your photo / video UGC and your rights-clearance audit log directly. Most teams are running on the same data in parallel within 48 hours and cut over a week later.
What about reviews syndication to Google?+
We syndicate to Google Reviews via their standard schema.org integration (the same one REVIEWS.io uses). For brands needing the Google Customer Reviews badge or the Licensed Partner network, REVIEWS.io has a deeper partner playbook there. If that's your acquisition wedge, it is a real reason to keep them.
Is the compliance posture really different?+
Yes. SOC 2 Type II is in audit (target Q3 2026) at Idukki, with the controls running today. Data residency is AWS eu-west-2 (London) by default, additional regions on request for Enterprise. We ship a blocked-claim filter on submission for FDA / MHRA / ASA-flagged language, a separate moderation lane for women's + sexual wellness categories, and a BAA on Enterprise. Ask REVIEWS.io for their equivalents, in writing.
