About Wild Cherry
Wild Cherry makes vacation wear for women, resort sets, linen dresses and beach outfits, sold at wildcherry.in.
The problem
Vacation wear is bought for the trip and the photos. A studio shot cannot show how a dress looks on a beach or at a resort dinner, which is the whole point of the purchase.
What they set up
- 1Deployed shoppable customer galleries on the homepage and product pages.
- 2Built an inspiration page of customers wearing Wild Cherry on holiday.
- 3Tagged every piece so the look can be bought straight from the photo.
The results
Proven revenue: ₹30.6K (Orders where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget before buying). Proven orders: 6 (Purchases that followed a widget add-to-cart). Add-to-carts from the widget: 81 (Products added to cart straight from customer content). Cart value from the widget: ₹263K (Value of those add-to-carts: buying intent, not revenue).
Why it worked
Vacation wear is bought for a picture. Customers' own holiday photos are exactly that picture, on a real beach rather than a set, and they are far more persuasive to someone planning their own trip. Every piece in the photos is tagged, so the holiday look is one tap from the cart.
How it’s measured
- Evidence
- Widget-attributed checkout value
- Method
- Idukki widget analytics. Proven revenue and orders count purchases where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget first. Cart value is the value of widget add-to-carts and is never added to revenue. These are the same definitions the merchant dashboard uses.
- Window
- Lifetime: July 2026 to September 2026 (2 months live)
- Source
- Idukki production analytics, refreshed 2026-10-01
- What it does not prove
- Proven revenue is a floor, not the whole effect: it counts only orders where the shopper added to cart from the widget first. Orders from shoppers who saw the content and bought another way are not in it.
Stack
- Idukki UGC galleries
- Inspiration wall
- Product tagging
