About Ritualistic
Ritualistic sells kits and essentials for Indian rituals and pujas online at ritualistic.in. It moved its shoppable video from Whatmore to Idukki.
The problem
Ritual and devotional products are a considered, unfamiliar purchase for many buyers: a shopper often has not used the specific kit before and needs to see how it is actually used, not just a packaged product photo.
What they set up
- 1Embedded a UGC video feed on the homepage and product pages showing real customers using the kits.
- 2Tagged the featured products in each clip so a viewer can add to cart without leaving the video.
- 3Added a compact mini-frame on product pages and a gallery of uploaded media.
- 4Ran AI moderation on incoming UGC before it reaches the live feed.
The results
Proven revenue: ₹164K (Orders where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget before buying). Proven orders: 62 (Purchases that followed a widget add-to-cart). Add-to-carts from the widget: 1,657 (Products added to cart straight from customer content). Cart value from the widget: ₹3.24M (Value of those add-to-carts: buying intent, not revenue).
Why it worked
Many buyers have never used the exact kit before, so a packshot does little. A short clip of a real customer using it answers the question that stops the purchase. Every clip is tagged, so the add-to-cart sits on the video itself, and AI moderation keeps the feed clean without a person checking every upload.
How it’s measured
- Evidence
- Widget-attributed checkout value
- Method
- Idukki widget analytics. Proven revenue and orders count purchases where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget first. Cart value is the value of widget add-to-carts and is never added to revenue. These are the same definitions the merchant dashboard uses.
- Window
- Lifetime: January 2026 to September 2026 (8 months live)
- Source
- Idukki production analytics, refreshed 2026-10-01
- What it does not prove
- Proven revenue is a floor, not the whole effect: it counts only orders where the shopper added to cart from the widget first. Orders from shoppers who saw the content and bought another way are not in it.
“We've been using this app on our Shopify store to add videos across our website, and the experience has been really smooth. The setup was straightforward, and we were able to get the video feature running without needing much technical help.”
