About A Little Extra
A Little Extra sells fashion accessories online at alittleextra.co.in.
The problem
Accessories are hard to judge from a flat product shot: size, finish and how a piece styles with an outfit only come across in motion and on a real person.
What they set up
- 1Launched a "Shop by Video" shoppable reel carousel on the homepage.
- 2Added galleries on product pages and an inspiration page.
- 3Built a reposts collection so new customer content flows into the carousel.
The results
Proven revenue: ₹136K (Orders where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget before buying). Proven orders: 84 (Purchases that followed a widget add-to-cart). Add-to-carts from the widget: 169 (Products added to cart straight from customer content). Cart value from the widget: ₹170K (Value of those add-to-carts: buying intent, not revenue).
Why it worked
Accessories are small, and a still photo flattens them. A short video shows the scale, the shine and how a piece sits with an outfit. Reposting customer content into a dedicated collection keeps the carousel fresh, and the conversion from add-to-cart to proven order is one of the strongest in this set.
How it’s measured
- Evidence
- Widget-attributed checkout value
- Method
- Idukki widget analytics. Proven revenue and orders count purchases where the shopper added the product to cart from the widget first. Cart value is the value of widget add-to-carts and is never added to revenue. These are the same definitions the merchant dashboard uses.
- Window
- Lifetime: June 2026 to September 2026 (3 months live)
- Source
- Idukki production analytics, refreshed 2026-10-01
- What it does not prove
- Proven revenue is a floor, not the whole effect: it counts only orders where the shopper added to cart from the widget first. Orders from shoppers who saw the content and bought another way are not in it.
Stack
- Idukki reel carousel
- Inspiration wall
- Product tagging
