The best video testimonial software in 2026: five tools for online stores

Senja, Testimonial, Vocal Video, VideoAsk and Idukki compared for an online store. Free plan caps, video limits, watermarks, exports, consent and whether the wall can sell. We make Idukki.

A customer says something kind about your product in an email. You ask them to say it on camera. Most of them would, if it took two minutes and no app. Video testimonial tools sell that two minutes. They differ on what happens to the video after it lands.

In this article

Most lists of these tools are written for SaaS companies. A store needs two extra things. The video should sit on product pages. And a shopper should be able to buy from it.

How we compared them

  • Free plan cap. How many videos before you pay.
  • Video limits. Length, resolution and watermarks.
  • Exports. Can you download the file for ads and email?
  • Consent. Does the customer agree to reuse in the flow itself?
  • Selling. Product tags on the video, and a gallery for product pages.

We left out ratings and review counts, as they move weekly. We have no commercial tie to any tool here except our own.

Senja: the biggest free plan

Senja's free plan collects 15 video and text testimonials. After that, new ones are hidden until you upgrade. It includes collection forms, invites, unlimited widgets and Walls of Love. It also turns video testimonials into Reels for social posts. Free exports are SD.

Starter costs $29 a month for unlimited testimonials, three forms and two seats. It adds your own branding, custom domains, HD exports, the API and webhooks. Pro costs $59 a month for unlimited forms, five projects, five seats and rich snippets. Yearly billing gives two months free.

Best for: a small brand that wants a wall this week at no cost. Limits: the 15-testimonial cap on Free. Its pricing page lists no product tags.

Testimonial: cheap text, video on the upper plans

Testimonial's free plan holds 2 video and 10 text testimonials in total. It includes a public page, Wall of Love widgets and white-label widgets. Starter costs $25 a month, or $300 a year. It allows unlimited text but still 2 videos in total. Ultimate costs $50 a month per space, or $600 a year. It unlocks unlimited video, 1,000 automated invitations, rich snippets and the API.

Videos can run 2 minutes on Free and Starter, and 5 minutes on Ultimate. Paid plans have a 7-day trial.

Best for: a team that mostly collects text and wants a few videos. Limits: real video volume starts at $50 a month.

Vocal Video: polished video, priced for teams

Vocal Video's free plan publishes 5 videos at 720p, with a watermark and no downloads. It runs one collection campaign with up to 3 questions, and 50 video requests a month. Paid plans start at $99 a month, billed yearly at $1,188.

The plan billed at $1,788 a year lists unlimited publishing in 1080p, no watermark and downloads. It also lists custom release language with click-through consent. Scale costs $249 a month, billed yearly at $2,988.

Best for: case-study style video with branded templates. Limits: paid plans bill yearly. The price suits a marketing team more than a small store.

VideoAsk: video conversations, billed by minutes

VideoAsk, from Typeform, records video and audio answers to your questions. Its free plan includes 20 minutes of video or audio processing a month. Paid tiers are listed at $24 and $40, with 1,200 and 2,400 minutes a year. The page we read showed no billing period beside those prices. Check it before you sign up.

Best for: collecting answers to several questions, such as a product survey. Limits: long answers use up minutes fast. Plan how you will show the videos on your store.

Idukki: a wall inside your UGC galleries (ours)

We make Idukki. Video testimonials are free on every plan. You share one link, by email, a QR code on packaging or a text. The customer records in the browser, with no login, and adds a star rating. Each submission waits in your approval queue.

Approving one creates a post in a Wall of Love gallery. That gallery runs on the same engine as your other Idukki galleries. So you can tag products on the video, and track views and clicks. One script tag puts it on any page.

Best for: a store that already shows customer photos or reviews and wants testimonials beside them. Limits: a submission needs a video to publish; text-only ones save to the queue. Version one has one Wall of Love per business. The Idukki logo stays on widgets on the Free plan.

How to choose

  1. 1Count the videos you expect in a year. Compare that with each free cap.
  2. 2Check the length limit. Two minutes is plenty for a product testimonial.
  3. 3Make sure you can download the file in HD for ads and email.
  4. 4Put the consent wording in the recording flow, before the customer hits record.
  5. 5Is the wall going on product pages? Check that it links each video to a product.

Asking well matters more than the tool. Read how to ask customers for reviews for the wording. Our photo vs video reviews piece covers the trade-off between the two.

Not on Idukki: the link needs no login. Check each vendor's collection form before you send it to customers.
