# Holiday ecommerce calendar 2026 and 2027: every date that matters

Every retail date from Black Friday 2026 to Boxing Day 2027. What to prepare, when to start, plus a calendar file.

It is the first Monday in January. You open the planner and type "Valentine's". It is six weeks away. Last year's couples photos are still sitting in tagged posts. Nobody asked for the rights.

- **Cyber Monday:** Mon 30 Nov 2026 and Mon 29 Nov 2027.

## How we set the lead times

The lead times below are our planning rule. They are not a measured figure. They come from how long customer content takes to gather, clear and publish.

A gifting date gets six weeks. That matches the calendar in our [seasonal UGC playbooks](/blog/seasonal-ugc-playbooks-valentines-mothers-day-back-to-school). Cyber Week gets twelve. Its traffic is larger and its product pages carry more ad spend.

**The six-week run-up to any gifting date**
1. **Plan** — Pick the hero products. Choose the angle and the hashtag. (6 weeks out)
2. **Collect** — Ask past buyers for photos and video. Send rights requests as content arrives. (5 to 4 weeks out)
3. **Tag and curate** — Tag products to each cleared post. Drop anything off-brand. (3 weeks out)
4. **Publish** — Put galleries on the gift guide and product pages. Wire them into email. (2 weeks out)
5. **Check** — Test each page on a phone. Confirm every product link works. (1 week out)

> **Two things this calendar leaves out:** Carrier shipping cutoffs change every year. Check each carrier's published cutoffs before you promise a delivery date. Amazon has not announced Prime Day 2027, so it is not listed.

Adobe counts Cyber Week as the five days from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday. Adobe forecasts Cyber Monday 2026 at $15.1B. It forecasts Black Friday 2026 at $12.9B.

NRF counted 202.9M shoppers over Thanksgiving weekend 2025. That ran from Thursday to Cyber Monday. 134.9M of them shopped online.

Mothering Sunday and US Mother's Day are nine weeks apart in 2027. Plan them as two campaigns. A UK shopper in March will not wait for May.

Back to school has no fixed date. Term starts vary by country, state and school district. Use last year's order data to find your own peak, then count back six weeks.

## The four dates that move every year

Most retail dates follow a weekday rule, so you can work them out years ahead. Four do not.

- **Easter** is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after 21 March. In 2027 that is 28 March.
- **Mothering Sunday** is three weeks before Easter. In 2027 that is 7 March. In 2026 it was 15 March.
- **Diwali** follows the Hindu lunar calendar. The main day is Sun 8 Nov 2026 and Fri 29 Oct 2027. Some regional calendars differ by a day.
- **Hanukkah** starts on 25 Kislev in the Hebrew calendar. It begins at sundown on Fri 4 Dec 2026 and Fri 24 Dec 2027.

In 2027 the first Hanukkah night is Christmas Eve. One gift guide can serve both, if your product range fits. Diwali 2027 falls two days before Halloween. If you sell for both, build both pages in September.

## One library, many dates

Most of these dates draw on the same gift-giving content. A customer photo of a wrapped present works for Christmas, Hanukkah and Diwali. Tag it once, then swap the gallery on each landing page.
