# Best Shopify apps to increase conversion in 2026: 20 apps for 10 jobs

Twenty Shopify apps sorted by the job they do, from reviews to analytics. What each bill counts and what to check first. What each does, how to try it, and what to watch. We make Idukki, and say so.

By Rohin Aggarwal · 2026-10-11

A Shopify store's conversion problem is usually six small ones. They sit on the product page, in search, in the cart and after the order. The app store has thousands of answers to each. This list picks two apps for each of ten jobs. It says what each does well and what to check first. It also says which one we make.

**Quick answer**

- Sort apps by the job they do. **Trust**, **search**, **order value**, **repeat orders** and **measurement** each need one.
- Starting from nothing? Three free installs cover a lot. **Judge.me** for reviews, **Klaviyo** or **Omnisend** for email, **Microsoft Clarity** for recordings.
- We make **Idukki**, which sits in the UGC and shoppable video job next to **Videowise**. Read that section with our bias in mind.
- Every app here has a free plan or a free trial. Prices and ratings are left out on purpose; open the listing before you decide.
- Facts come from each listing and the vendor's own pages, checked 11 October 2026.

A conversion app turns a visit into an order. Or it turns one order into several. That covers a lot of ground. So most "best conversion apps" lists read like a random walk. This one is built the other way round. We picked ten jobs along a shopper's path, from first visit to third order. Each job gets two apps. One is the app most stores try first. The other does the job a different way. Two is deliberate. One app per job is a recommendation you cannot check; twenty per job is a directory.

## How we picked them

Each app had to clear four bars:

- **It does one conversion job well.** We sorted by the job. A review app is only compared with other review apps.
- **It has an official Shopify App Store listing.** Installs, billing and uninstalls go through Shopify, which keeps leaving cheap.
- **You can try it before paying.** A free plan or a free trial, stated on the listing or the vendor's pricing page.
- **The pricing shape is published.** We may skip the number. We always say what the bill counts: orders, contacts, tickets, products or revenue.

Every fact comes from the app's listing or the vendor's own pages. We checked them on 11 October 2026. We left out prices, ratings and review counts. They move weekly, and we could not check all twenty in one day. Some vendor pages disagree with each other, mostly on trial length. There we say "free trial" and leave the number to the listing. We have no commercial relationship with any app on this list other than our own.

## Reviews: proof on the product page

Shoppers look for reviews first. Most new stores have none. The ask matters more than the app. The review request email is where photos and videos come from, so ask for them there. Then put the star rating next to the price.

### Judge.me

Judge.me collects photo and video reviews and sends the review requests. It imports reviews from Yotpo, Loox, Amazon, Etsy and others. That makes switching easier. It has a free plan that most small stores can run on for a long time. Check which integrations you need. Several sit on the paid plan.

### Loox

Loox is built around visual reviews. It writes AI review summaries. It syndicates reviews to Shop, Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok Shop. Loox says it holds the Built for Shopify badge. Its free Beginner plan lasts until your store reaches 500 orders in total. Paid plans are tiered by monthly orders. They add video reviews and syndication. Price the plan at your busiest month. We compare it with Judge.me and Okendo in [Judge.me vs Loox vs Okendo](/blog/judge-me-vs-loox-vs-okendo-2026).

## UGC and shoppable video: real customers, one tap from the cart

Reviews say a product is good. Customer photos and short videos show the product on a real person, in a real kitchen. They answer questions a product photo cannot. The job is to put that content on the store with the product tagged. Then a shopper goes from post to cart in one tap. Check two things first. What does the app do to page speed on your theme? Do you have the right to show each post?

### Idukki (ours)

We make Idukki, so calibrate. It collects customer posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Threads. It imports reviews from Google, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor and Judge.me. It shows them as shoppable galleries, reels and stories, tagged to the cart. Consent is recorded per post, so a campaign only uses content that has been cleared. The widget runtime is 79 KB, measured on a production gallery. The free plan covers image galleries. Shoppable video and rights management start on the $45 plan. Where we are weaker: we do not publish to TikTok Shop. Our live shopping is partial.

### Videowise

Videowise is a video-first app. It has shoppable carousels, stories and galleries, with add to cart in the player. Its free plan covers video on the Shop app only. On-store widgets need a paid plan. Paid plans are metered by usage, with overage past the limit. Is short video your whole content plan, on Shopify? Then put it on the shortlist. We compare it with Idukki line by line in [Best shoppable video apps for Shopify](/blog/best-shoppable-video-apps-for-shopify-2026).

## Site search: the shoppers who already know what they want

A shopper who types into the search bar is telling you what they came to buy. Shopify's built-in search handles exact matches well and synonyms, typos and filters less well. Whichever app you pick, read its "searches with no results" report weekly. Each line is a product named in words shoppers do not use. Or it is a product people want and you do not stock.

### Boost AI Search & Filter

Boost combines AI search, collection filters and merchandising rules (pin, boost or bury products by rule). It suits large catalogues where filtering matters as much as search. It offers a free trial. Its plans are priced by your store's GMV. So the cost grows with revenue, and traffic does not change it.

### Searchanise

Searchanise gives you instant search as the shopper types, AI search and filters. Its tiers follow the number of products in your catalogue. The free plan fits only a very small one. Most stores will pay. That pricing shape is predictable, which some stores prefer to a revenue-linked bill.

## Product quizzes: for the shoppers who do not know yet

Search serves shoppers who know what they want; a quiz serves the ones who do not. It works best where the choice depends on the buyer (skin type, coffee taste, running style). Keep it short and make every question change the answer. A question that does not change the recommendation is a reason to leave. The answers are first-party data, and good data. Send them to your email app.

### Octane AI

Octane AI builds product quizzes. It passes the answers to your email and SMS tools for segments. It has a 14-day free trial and no free plan. It bills in credits. Check how a quiz uses credits before a big campaign.

### RevenueHunt

RevenueHunt is a no-code quiz builder with an AI assistant that drafts the quiz for you. It has a free plan with a monthly response limit. Paid plans have a free trial. The free plan leaves out most integrations. To send answers to your email app, plan on paying.

## Upsells and cross-sells: a bigger order from the same visit

The best upsell is the thing the shopper would come back for. The case for the phone. The refill for the bottle. A pricier version of what is already in the cart reads as a sales pitch. Test the offer before the placement. A good offer works in the cart, at checkout or after payment. A poor one fails in all three.

### Rebuy

Rebuy personalises recommendations in the cart, at checkout and after purchase. Its widgets include a smart cart. It has a free entry plan, and paid plans scale with your orders a month. It is one of the broader tools here. That means more to set up.

### ReConvert

ReConvert focuses on the moment after payment: one-click post-purchase offers and a rebuilt thank-you page. Those offers come after the shopper has paid. They put the first order at no risk. It offers a free trial. Checkout upsells before payment need Shopify Plus. The vendor's help pages now carry the Upsell.com name. Check the current listing.

## Email and SMS: the sale that happens after the visit

Most visitors leave without buying. Email and SMS give a store a second chance. Build the automated flows before any campaign. Start with welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment and post-purchase. They run every day without anyone remembering to send them.

### Klaviyo

Klaviyo's listing now calls it an "AI-first B2C CRM". It sends email, SMS, WhatsApp and push from your Shopify data. It has a free plan for small lists. The bill grows with active profiles. It is the default for a reason. Plan for its cost at scale. Clean out unengaged profiles often.

### Omnisend

Omnisend covers email and SMS automation. A small team can switch on its prebuilt flows in an afternoon. It has a free plan, and cost rises with your contacts. Stores that want the core flows without a long setup often start here.

## Loyalty and referrals: a reason to come back

A loyalty programme is a conversion tool for the second and third order. Reward more than spend. Reward a photo review or a referral too, since they help the next shopper. Then show the points balance where people look. The account page, emails and the cart.

### Smile

Smile runs points, VIP tiers and referrals. It says it holds the Built for Shopify badge. It offers a free trial. Some features need Shopify Plus. Check the plan table against your Shopify plan.

### LoyaltyLion

LoyaltyLion offers points, referrals, a hosted loyalty page and loyalty-specific emails. It has a free plan, and paid plans have a free trial. It works on Shopify only.

## Subscriptions: orders that repeat themselves

Subscriptions suit products people run out of: coffee, supplements, pet food, skincare. They do not suit products people buy once. Make skipping and pausing easy. A shopper who can skip a month stays. One who must email to cancel never returns.

### Recharge

Recharge handles subscriptions, a customer portal for managing them and bundles. It offers a free trial. Pricing is a monthly fee plus a fee per transaction. Some charges are billed outside Shopify. Read the fee table before you work out the margin.

### Skio

Skio offers a skip, swap or discount before a subscriber cancels. It also migrates subscribers from other apps. It publishes a single plan priced as a percentage plus a fixed fee per subscription order.

## Support and live chat: the question before the order

Some of the best support chats happen before the order. Will this fit? Does it ship to me? Is it in stock in blue? Put chat where those questions come up: product pages and the cart. Then write the common answers into the product page. The next shopper will not need to ask.

### Gorgias

Gorgias puts email, chat, social, voice and SMS in one inbox. Shopify order data sits next to each ticket. An AI agent answers routine questions. It offers a free trial and no free plan. Pricing is per ticket, and the AI agent is billed separately.

### Tidio

Tidio combines live chat, rule-based chatbots and Lyro, its AI agent. It has a free plan and a free trial. Lyro conversations are billed apart from the chat plan. A small one-time free allowance lets you test it.

## Analytics: see the problem before buying the fix

Install this job first, even though it comes last here. Two weeks of recordings and a funnel report show which job is costing you orders. That beats any list for choosing apps, this one included.

### Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity records sessions and builds heatmaps. Microsoft says it is free with no traffic limits. Its official Shopify app is listed as "Microsoft Clarity: AI Insights". Watch a handful of sessions that reached the cart and left; patterns show up quickly. It shows behaviour. It cannot tell which channel or app earned the revenue.

### Triple Whale

Triple Whale is an analytics and attribution dashboard for Shopify. The free plan covers first-click and last-click attribution. Paid plans add multi-touch attribution through its pixel. Paid plans are priced by annual GMV. Some charges are billed outside Shopify.

## Where to start, by store stage

- **Just launched:** a review app, an email app with the four core flows, and Microsoft Clarity. All three can start free.
- **Steady traffic, conversion flat:** add customer photos and video to product pages, and better site search. Both meet shoppers who are already looking at products.
- **Repeat orders matter:** post-purchase upsells, loyalty, and subscriptions if your products get used up.
- **Spending on ads:** an attribution tool. It shows which channels and apps pay for themselves.

Going deeper on one job? We have separate lists for [social proof apps](/blog/best-shopify-apps-for-social-proof-2026) and [average order value apps](/blog/best-shopify-apps-to-increase-average-order-value-2026). There is also a line-by-line comparison of [Judge.me, Loox and Okendo](/blog/judge-me-vs-loox-vs-okendo-2026).

## Before you install any of them

1. **Take a baseline.** Before the install, write down conversion rate, order value and a product page PageSpeed score. Then you can see what changed.
2. **One app per job.** Two review apps on one store fight for the same space. They also slow the page.
3. **Check speed on your own theme.** Run PageSpeed on a product page with the app on and off. Vendor speed claims are measured on someone else's store.
4. **Change one thing at a time.** Launch three apps in one week and you will not know which moved the number.
5. **Remove leftovers when you uninstall.** Some apps leave code in the theme; check for snippets after removal.

**The takeaway:** Pick the job before the app. Find where shoppers drop off. Fix that job with one app. Measure it, then move on. A store with five well-chosen apps usually beats a store with fifteen that overlap.

### Questions store owners ask

**Q: What are the best Shopify apps to increase conversion?**

A: It depends on where you lose shoppers. For trust on the product page: a review app such as Judge.me or Loox. Add a UGC app such as Idukki (ours) or Videowise. For finding products, Boost or Searchanise. For order value, Rebuy or ReConvert. For coming back, Klaviyo or Omnisend. Install Microsoft Clarity first to see which job matters most.

**Q: Which conversion apps are free?**

A: Microsoft Clarity is free with no traffic limits. Ten have free plans, with limits. Judge.me, Loox, Idukki, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Rebuy, RevenueHunt, LoyaltyLion, Tidio and Triple Whale. The rest on this list offer free trials.

**Q: Do too many apps slow down a Shopify store?**

A: They can, because many apps add scripts to every page. Test a product page in PageSpeed with each app on and off. Keep one app per job. Remove leftover theme code when you uninstall.

**Q: Why are there no prices in this list?**

A: Prices change often, and we could not check all twenty in one day. So we listed what each bill counts and whether a free plan or trial exists. Open the listing for the current price.

**Q: How often is this list updated?**

A: When an app changes its plans or scope. The last-updated date is at the top; facts were checked on 11 October 2026.
